-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TRACK EDITOR AMCS OVERVIEW the Advance Music Construction System SUBJECT Track Editor: Overview SUMMARY This part of the documentation explains the purpose and use of the Track Editor. This section allows for constructing cue trigger patterns in the Track Matrix for use during play. DESCRIPTION The Track Editor is the main Editor for creating riffs and rhythms. It consists of a 256 column track and 256 row position matrix which is view through a 16 by 16 portion. The Cursor in the Editor is highlighted as a flashing block with two hexadecimal values apon it. The upper value relates to the current track which the Cursor is located and the lower value as the position. The Cursor can be moved with either the Mouse, the Cursor Panel at the head of the Side Bar or the Keyboard. If the Cursor attempts to move beyond the view, the area will scroll in that direction. Cues are entered by either using the Virtual Piano in the Function Panel, the Keyboard or an external MIDI device. They can then be manipulated an all manner of ways via the Function Panel. Each Track is looped by setting a Marker for the top and bottom of the current selection via the set Markers function in the Function Panel. The Markers are colour coded as green for the start of a track loop and red for the end of a track loop.
